Morning  ☺ Hate to be controversial but I like that I can pop in and monitor you guys without having to put my phone in landscape and do a lot of pinching of the screen ☺

Not as nice here yet Dove.... but I think it'll be a scorcher later! ?

Lizzie, ((hugs)) for you, I am sorry that your day had such a bad start.

    Right.... best get off....

Thank you for all your messages of sympathy. It's heart warming to know you are all there.

Apart from the news of our friends, the garden open day went pretty well I think. I'll put some photos on Garden Pictures when I've sorted them and put them on my laptop - if I can.

On Saturday night I was in the middle of posting to Daniel on the forum thread when my laptop turned itself off. Then it re-started and said I wasn't to touch it as it was installing Windows 10. I hadn't asked it to, I was goin to leave it until after my Power Point talk on Thursday. In the morning it said "Welcome Liz", my laptop has never called me Liz before, only Elizabeth! How did it know? image

I haven't uploaded photos yet, I hope it hasn't changed too much.

What a nuisance, Dove. I suppose it will save you money at Woottens. image

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Morning all.

I can't be fagged with endless scrolling back and guessing where I left off, so I hope everyone is well, and the weather is being kind.

Overcast with much rain forecast later.

    Polytunnel duties beckon.

    Unclick email notices , again.

Oh Bizzy what a horrid thing to hear.

I'm having a rest day today, well a wash everything and then flop on the sofa day. I drove the museums old police car to Bradgate Park yesterday (read no air con, power steering, no assistance to the brakes, vinyl seats that get so soooo hot...) doing the entire route on country lanes (can't do motorways as she'll only do 50 mph and lorries tend to try to bully you). It was glorious but so hot my nail Polish went soft and wiped off!! It was an emergency services day and really well attended.

Unfortunately my return journey ended in an impromptu picnic in a lay by...

A very good morning to you all image

Nice to see everyone's been enjoying the sunshine this weekend, reading back to catch up it seems you've all been very busy.

Glad to hear the open day was successful Busy Lizzie and your visitors appreciated all your hard work. Very sad news about your friends tragic accident, it must have been a terrible shock for you.

Dordogne Damsel, sounds like you have a great sense of humour image and probably need it to stay sane at your busy hotel/B&B (not sure which???). Last minute bookings, large groups etc, nothing seems too much to deal with. You deserve the title "Hostess with the mostest" .

Pat, Eurovision watchers here in our house. My teenage girls and all their friends love it, we have an annual party, all very camp and cheesy but great fun.

I feel so tired this morning. Friday afternoon I was moving furniture in eldest ones bedroom in preparation for decorating, she wants an update now she's back every weekend with B/F in tow.

Spent all day gardening on Saturday in between cooking and cleaning up after them all. Did find time for a sneaky glass of wine relaxing on the swing chair with my neighbour in the evening. She spotted me tidying up out front and popped round for a bit of a gossip.

Yesterday was my great-nieces christening, it was a lovely day and nice too see all the family together at the same time for a good catch up. Everyone's really looking forward to my nephews wedding in June.

Starting to feel like a bit of an oldie now the younger generation have families of their own now and I'm only in my forties.

I'd better crack on and deal with the sea of laundry I have spread over the kitchen floor, first load just finished, only 3 more to go. image

Morning all,  Lovely and sunny here again, hope it lasts.

Sorry to hear about your sad news BL (hugs).

Hope you get things sorted Dove (more hugs)

I read wedding dress as weeding dress in one of the posts - thought thats a bit posh LOL

Hasn't Daniel been a star over the weekend, I think his hard work has paid off as everyone seems to be trying to make the best of things until the glitches are sorted out.

Got so much sorted in the garden over the weekend, my morning walk around my little patch was very satisfying.

Off out with a friend later to a Laura Ashley outlet, could be very dangerous.

Hosta I haven't unticked any of my posts and I'm not getting any notifications.  The two things I'm looking forward to most is the returen of jump to 'first unread post' and the repeat of page numbers at the top of the page.
