Morning all. So sorry to hear your sad news, Bizzy. It's awful when someone is taken in such a sudden way. Obviously, it's awful regardless of how they go, but when it's not expected, it somehow is harder to come to terms with.
A couple of years ago, a very good friend of mine (we used to flatshare) was on their way home from a night out with their boyfriend. They stopped and leant casually against some building site hoardings to chat. The hoardings gave way and they both fell about thirty feet into an excavated cellar, both killed instantly. I still find it so hard to deal with.
In a way, I hope having your open day helped take your mind off it a little, although the weather could have been a bit more obliging
Me, back to work this morning, boo. I don't want to be stuck at a desk!
Bit overcast at the moment, looks like rain. Do hope it brightens up later.
So very hot last night, I couldn't sleep. It was like the middle of summer.
Lizzie, glad you had a good turn out for your open garden day. Your garden pics always look beautiful.
So very sorry to hear of your friends tragic death Lizzie. Sending best wishes and big hugs to you. xx
Lovely flower pic Chicky.
Panda, meant to say glad you got your wedding dress sorted. How lucky to find one so quick, can be such a worry. So many thungs to organise. What colour bridesmaids dresses and how many are you having? So exciting!!!
Anyone watching the series Undercover or The Secret? Really good.
Have a good day everyone, off for a haircut later! Hopefully not too short lol
So sorry to hear your news Busy - well done for carrying on with the garden opening. I'm sure it was the last thing you wanted to do after such a shock.
Hope the planning goes well Dove. On a positive note about having to do it at this time of year - lots of journeys past Wootens...
Office for me but only till lunch time. Planted some mange tout, peas, salad plants and beetroot yesterday. Today I'll see if some of the herbs and chard are big enough to go in and direct sow a few more.
Love this time of year
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Morning all/afties Pat. Glorious day here but work beckons. Still, it means the outdoor building work can crack on and less damage to the grass.
That's terrible news BL - and horrible that you heard it on your open day, which must have made it more stressful for you. Sending a big hug from the Fairies.
An unpleasant memory for you too Keen. So hard to accept something so unexpected. Not surprised you still have a vivid recall of it.
Lovely auricula chicky. It would make me smile too. I'll have to enjoy everyone else's pix just now until the team sort out the photo problem! My snow bunting photos from Saturday have turned out well so I'll share them as soon as I can post them.
Hope all goes well today Dove. It's a difficult thing to do. I remember my sister saying that she reckoned all the organising and planning you have to do for a funeral is a ploy to help deal with the grief. She might be right.
Quick look round now before I go to t'mill.
Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Well, I have to make just a tiny detour ........ and there's horrendous roadworks on the A12 at Blythburgh at the moment ... might have to give Woottens a miss today, if we're going to have time to eat icecream ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just discovered that the road into Southwold is closed from today onwards for a few days for gas mains work - we'll have to go the long way round via Reydon Marshes ............. missing out the a12 and access to Woottens all together.

Retirement sounds good, Dove - I can't wait! However, I fear I may have to...
