I grow Astilbes close to a Rodgersia, whose leaves are also emerging a beautiful bronze colour.
Have just ordered 3 Astilbe Shogun (1 for my daughter)
Great recommendation Verdun It looks superb.
Where am I going to find space??
Verdun, I grow them both in my bog garden, but as you say, if Astilbes will grow, so should Rodgersias.
No sign of Astilbes coming through here, but I love the emerging foliage of the Acteas - feathery and dark too
Oh yes beautiful. Mine are such a deep glorious red ! Have had a look at the shogun and I want one too
You could easily make one Verdun.
As you know, it gives a lot of scope for different plants.
You know you need one !
Meant to say, there is a beautiful small Rheum, called Ace of Hearts, I think, which would be fantastic. I am thinking of getting one.
