To weed or not to weed? That is the question

Hi there. Above are three pictures of unidentified plants/ weeds. Does anyone know what they are?
As a bonus identification question, I bought a hanging basket for a fiver a while back and it's looking lovely. I know that the daffodil bulbs, the heather and primrose will all stick around for next year. Can anyone identify the white and purple flowers to either side?

Many thanks all!

top one enlarges to a blur
2 bergenia
3 hypericum, maybe Hypericum androsaemum which seeds around freely

The purple thing is aubretia. I can't get a good enough look at the white flowers to identify them.
Could be eryngium. how big is it?
I thought that lump pointing NE was root but now not so sure.

aym - it depends sometimes on what device the person is using to upload the pics. If you click on the pic it enlarges and turns the right way up
Bit patronising there Aym, you obviously haven't learnt about clicking on the photos to turn them round then? That will also bring them up full screen size so you can see what the plants are.
Take no notice Natbat, good to have you aboard. Welcome to the site.
I too thought the second pic to be bergenia Hazel ........ and same here
I think the trailing white flower in the basket is allysum. Have to say it's very pretty with the daffs and the polyanthus Natbat
The site isn't iPad friendly, I find the only way to get the photo the right way up is to use the Photo Stream.
plant in photo number 2 is Sea Holly.
The white flower could be Arabis.
I've come a bit late to this party ...
1. looks more like hypericum than anything else
2. looks like bergenia cordifolia to me
3. looks like hypericum
and in the pretty container ...
pretty sure the purple one is aubretia
the white one to the side looks like arabis but it would help if we could see the leaves better
and there's a white heather in the middle.
