    Re compost and government pos eec directive isn't there a law regarding selling goods that are not fit for purpose ?

    Tesco had J Arthur Bowers mpc at 3 bags for £10. Its a nice dark brown, feels good stuff. Also have some John Innes numbers 2 and 3 and will buy some more coir image

    I also make sure compost is warmer than it is outside before sowing.

    I also use Wickes compost and manure and found them both to be excellent products. As for B&Q compost, the only thing the Verve stuff is good for is digging in to my clay soil to break up the structure to improve drainage.

    funny I saw this and I've just had the nicest bag of compost I've ever tried, really sorry can't remember what it is, will look and tell you but am going back for more!

    Got my compost from Asda today 3 X 70 lr bags for £10 , opened a bad tonight and it seem OK 

    I like levertons but have found it had a lot of gravel in it ?image

    Got some Wilko MPC yesterday. 50l for £3 and it's good so far, much better than last years' Wyevale own brand.
