Dozens of housemartins arrived here (Southern Scotland) on 10th April ... a week earlier than last year.

It's perishing here .... they'll be wishing they'd stayed back a few weeks on warmer shores!

Saw my first swift yesterday morning { West Scotland} gives you hope that the warmer weather will be here soon. Love to see these beautiful little birds arriving.

  • Swallows here in south coast Dorset first two days of April, no house martins as yet.
  • No sign of Swallows, Swifts or Martins here in SW Ireland. They are late arriving this year obviously due to the cold weather we are having but forecast is to improve next week so will expect to see them any day soon image

Thank you Brenda ... that made me smile image

Swallows usually arrive here just before Ma's birthday ... she's failing fast and I don't know whether she's going to make it to her 92nd on the 26th this year ............
