aaaah - my issue is i only seem to b able to get one or the other........
if they go in a bright room indoors then its also too warm........i have a small outdoor shed that has a glass roof so it gets light but then also really cold
Hefty, Get them germinated in the warm if they need it ( I rarely use heat but probably different seeds) then straight to light before they get soft and leggy. I don't heat my GH but cosmos has germinated out there and is fine.
I have a growhouse, it's green plastic. Can I plant seedlings and put the trays in it? It's in a sheltered spot, but won't get much sun, so light might be an issue. I'm running out of room in the house!
If they're still small and used to indoor temps it's too risky to put them outdoors without hardening off first.
If it's a lightweight plastic growhouse could you move it to a sunnier spot? They're really handy for growing on your plants when they're big enough.
Just make sure its secure so it doesn't blow away.
I know the problems of running out of windowsills, mine are stacked on a shelf in the conservatory so get plenty of light. My version of vertical gardening.

In the sticks near Peterborough
My tomatoes (left) and chilies/pepper (right) - all sown on Easter weekend:
And onion sets, planted in modules at the same time (to stop birds pulling them up) with broad beans in the coffee cups:
Lots of trays like these cauliflowers too, but they all look the same so only one pic
good to know - thanks a lot - ill try germinating inside and then moving them to me small shed, or even just outside
the seeds i sowed last year directly outside seemed to go well so maybe thats the key
big thanks!
Impressive, Bob

Hi sparkles, what seeds are you growing?
