Just went out to do some weeding as the rain stopped, 30 mins later rain started again, so we are going out to lunch than going to GC and farm shop for anti mole equipment, including the piece of kit Obelixx recommended. Have looked at youTube films about mole problems. There are lot of French ones! The garden shops are shut between 12 and 2pm for lunch. Typical French!

Hail now. I've shut the greenhouse doors.

We won't be venturing out today. The boiler has gone out for the third time in three weeks. A new one is already sitting at my brothers, ready for installation when he has a free day.

Our wee corner has been doing well in the weather stakes. Blue skies, sunny but cold.image

Can't make up its mind what to do here.  So far this morning we've had hail, rain, wind and sunshine.  Gardening, woodwork or housework?  (OH wants me to vacuum...)

snuggled up in front of the fire with a nice cuppa. Second lot of washing done, first lot in dryer still.

Afternoon all. We've been to Canberra for a quick trip today so I'm ready for bed now - very tired.  Photos taken on the way back - mostly around Bredbo Late afternoon.

Everywhere is very dry, we badly need rain in the district. We saw  a lot of smoke where various fire brigades are doing controlled burns in an effort to reduce the fuel load before next summer. I'm not convinced that this works, but what do I know?  I hope everyone is well. I've not had a chance to read the last couple of pages yet, but will try to when I get to bed. image

I've now read back several pages.

Hosta, I showed your photos of your planned rock moving project to Hubby and his comment was "in your dreams"!  I did get a laugh, but seriously, I really think it would be better to get a few strong young fellows in to help.

Dove and Wonky, I hardly know what to say.  I know you are al trying to make your Mum's last days as lovely as you can and it's really hard on you all. I hope you can get enjoyment from giving her the flowers. Sending mental support to you all.

it sounds as though you are all getting rotten weather over there. We were down to zero here again. It's so frustrating. I have chilli plants which are loaded with fruit, but they are still doggedly remaining green. I cover them each night, but unless we get some warmer nights and days, I think it's a lost cause.

I find it fascinating to read about the moles and the damage they cause. We have problems with wombats, but they generally stay away from the house area. They have undermined the river bank quite badly, but we don't go down there much, so we leave them to it.

Busy, busy day and ended up with a call to collect Charlie from Athletics as he had had an accident. Fifteen minutes of mild panic until I got there but no permanent damage, thankfully. Think the blood scared him at first but he is already showing off his war wounds. image

Having an evening of cuddles now.

Hope you are all well. image

Hello DD. I hope Charlie is OK. I've tried to ring you a few times today.
