  • Have a look at their Ebay sales, 100% positive, 830 sales, also have a look at the genuine letters of thanks on their website, top class English nursery, don't try to pull them down.

I didnt name names someone said I should use said company as they were excellent (I couldnt leave it without a response when it was said company I used).

Richard do you work for them!!!

I have photo's I can send you to compare the ones I received to the ones on their website.I dont make complaints/comments lightly.

No one or company is perfect.

    I will await their response.

  • Sorry - this comment may be unpopular but I think Roy is being treated rather unfairly in this post. He came on asking what other people thought about ordering plants online originally and has been blasted for disagreeing with some of the comments. He can only speak from his experience as can others.

It appears okay for others to use the names of online traders (T and M springs to mind as being constantly criticised) with regards to bad service/stock .......... but not here it seems ........ Perhaps he should've started a 'Bad Guys' thread ....... I haven't checked to see whether there is one.

Royd is a newbie - like me - and I will certainly never ask advice on here again after my first encounter.

Taylor's is an excellent company. They earned their reputation as such because they have huge customer satisfaction.

Verdun is correct  in saying it's important to contact the company first because it's how they respond that marks them out above others. No company of any kind is completely infallible but they can't rectify a problem if they don't know about it. They'll respond appropriately. As I said - it's in their best interest to deal with issues promptly image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Roy, no, I don't work for Taylors.  Actually, they have a clematis nursery in Yorkshire, I have a clematis nursery in Lancashire, not exactly Wars of the Roses stuff, our paths hardly ever cross, they exhibit at all the major RHS shows, I sell from our nursery and garden display area, I breed new clematis also, I supply mainly the ' anoraks ' of the clematis world.

I have much respect for Taylors and do not want you or anyone else to take trade from them needlessly, I hope they sort your problem,  No offence intended.

    Best wishes,  Richard.

  • Incidentally, whilst on the subject of Ebay, wife Irene bought half a dozen lovely new salvias from a shop run by  greenfingersjim, good healthy plants, stunning, new ?, varieties. A fantastic selection.

I too hope they respond to my email, as they have some excellent varieties I would like to purchase.

I just want too see what they say when things don't go quite as expected.

    No offence taken.
