Saturday was a strange day. Woke up in the morning and I could feel it was much colder [though not frosty]. in the morning went out shopping in a cold north wind, very overcast. It brightened up in the afternoon so went out for a walk with my wife and my sister to a nearby place called Chadkirk to the east of Stockport. The old chapel is situated in a south west facing corner of the valley with an old walled garden. As we sat in the sun it was warm enough to be in shirt sleeves. Walking back to the car a sudden squall blew up and we were covered in soft hail as it turned wintry.

  • Beautiful weather here today, started with a cold N/E wind which dropped off completely this afternoon - pure blue sky too - T shirt weather for some brave souls.

Bitterly cold in the northerly wind. Could have been February, but bright and mostly sunny. Isle of Wight.
