  • After 3 lovely fine days - raining hard now - so I won't need to water the planters & tubs! As my back is sheer agony again the rain is a good reason not to do anything strenuous in the garden!

Garden centres should be busy next week, after all the bedding they sold and was planted last week dies in the coming frost this weekend!  Lovely day here but getting noticeably nippy now.. image

We have had a few warm days at last. Still can't mow the lawn yet tho'. If we have a couple more days dry here in Sussex might be able to get the mower out.

Since we got back to France it has poured and poured. How am I going to prepare my garden for the Open Day if it carries on like this? Forecast is more heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
