It was pretty wild here in Herts as well. The roads are still flooded, even more than usual after a storm. But no fallen trees that I could see, thankfully, only a few branches here and there on the sides of the roads.
In Nevada, USA. 3-6 in. were predicted but we now have more than a foot. By Fri. it will be(predicted) 23C, so I think i won't even shovel the walks-let ma nature handle it.
Phew, we survived Katie last night - but so very rough & plenty of trees fell around the island - we were luckier than some - little damage - but how many more of these freak gales - there was a time when we had two or maybe three strong windy outbursts each year but now it seems to be once or twice a month at least.
Didnt see any damage much locally , Friday was gorgeous, sat on the beach in the sun, predictions for the next 3 days, were heavy rain, we had a couple of very quick showers, some overnight rain. On ther beach with the dogs every day, it was windy, but the sun was out. There were a lot of people on the beach enjoying themselves yesterday. We saw a few branches down on the roads going towards the seafront. Isnt a storm that thing that has thunder and lightening??? Lovelly day today, sunny, blue sky, outside temp 8d
Gorgeous morning here - sunshine and blue skies, and not a breath of wind - only 3.9C when I got up, but I think it's rising pretty quickly - however there are some little fluffy clouds forming up high as I type - just checked the forecast for here - mainly dry but some showers this morning - more rain late afternoon with possibility of thunderstorms and hail.

Hmmm - all those fluffy clouds have joined up and are looking decidedly grey - hardly any blue bits left - certainly not enough to make a sailor a pair of trousers

I'm guessing Narnia.

Oh, there was a couple of fence panels down, (neighbours side, and need replacing!) It was dustman day, and some folks bins were doing a wheely dance!

Cold but dry here. Just above freezing now, but a nice layer of beautifully patterned ice on the car windscreen
Cloud moving in and showers forecast.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
