Pdoc Verdun posted yesterday evening about blueberries and scented plants - I think that otherwise he's been busy eating that huge chocolate egg he found - and he mustn't talk with his mouth full must he?
I sowed some seeds on Saturday - both lots of Cosmos are up already - very chuffed especially as one of them was an old packet I bought from Wyevale's sale of out of date stock and then left in a box for several years - it's a deep pink that they say changes to a bronze as it ages https://www.sarahraven.com/flowers/seeds/cosmos/cosmos_bipinnatus_antiquity.htm
Looking forward to seeing it
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Woke to a frost, which I was not expecting. Now very grey, more rain to come.
A salutary lesson...... I was wondering why the seeds in 1 of my propagators were not doing anything. This morning I put my hand inside, and the base was almost hot enough to fry an egg!
Have a good day.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Dove "Antiquity" is the cosmos I'm growing, but I started it on a windowsill and they went leggy. They are now in the GH and growing their real leaves. Does anyone know if you can bury the stems a bit when potting up, like you do with tomatoes?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
