Managed 3 hours in the garden today so the Heucheras are finally planted and a fair bit of tidying up done with the herbaceous plants. Hubby watches recorded football matches and this allows me to get out as long as I pop in every so often.

I have had Thunbergia in a pot for two years with out any flowers. Should I give up?

Do you feed it?  try some liquid tomato food to see if that perks it up.

Anyone got a Dyson?  OH chose ours when we needed a new vacuum cleaner in January.  It sucks very well and has lots of useful heads but the whole process of emptying and cleaning it drives me round the bend.   It' supposed to be his toy but he doesn't empty it and is never there when I need it!

What's wrong with having a bag that doesn't get dust all over the place and doesn't need washing?

    Yvie - fingers crossed.

Joyce - I've told OH that if I start to go doolally and lose the plot he just needs to play 60s music all day long and I'll be happy.   He said he'd have to have the 1966 football final on TV...........

My Dyson stopped working after about a year and it's very heavy.

It's the singalong thing.  I know so many words without having to think.   Not so good on 70s or 80s when I had less time to listen to radio and so much dross since with just a few treasures.

My 2nd-hand Dyson was getting unreliable so last year OH bought me a lightweight cylinder vaccuum for my birthday (yes, I know, romantic present...  image).  I must say I clean the stairs at least twice as often as I used to.  image

Think Katie is leaving us now - we've even got some sunshine - although the wind is still pretty gusty.

Dysons, I ended up shouting at ours, it knocked our blinds down and hit me on the head, I was so annoyed I bought a simple straightforward Panasonic upright with bags (and a powerful suck) like the one I had years ago and it's wonderful!!!   Wonky and her Lovely Hub have our Dyson - he's a techie and loves it - well, he did ... not sure if he still loves it image

Speaking of Wonky - I rang her this afternoon to see how the gig went - she didn't go, she came down with a tummy bug and is still poorly - she's had to phone in sick for tomorrow as of course, as she works with vulnerable people she has to be clear of bugs before she goes back to work. So she really didn't have to go into town and buy a new dress and more plants did she? image

Apparently the gig went really well, lots of people attended, Lovely Hub enjoyed his evening and got paid into the bargain image

    Get better soon Wonky.

Once Katie was out of the way we had a very nice day - been out there pruning hydrangeas and weeding.  Will sleep well tonightimage

lovely to see some of the things I planted last year coming back strongly.  I like weeding at this time of year, you discover so much going on when you are so close to the groundimageimage
