On my first train now - looking out the window at gorgeous banks of snowdrops - still looking lovely even though all the ones in my garden have gone over
More hugs for Chicky & Mr C - hope it's all sorted soon.
I've had a sheep steal my cheese sandwich once on a walk, but never thought of them going for meat...
Went to visit Mum yesterday, by car this time (because OH wanted to visit a man about a bassoon on the way). It was lovely to see the family (my sister and BIL (whose name is Bill, by the way! ), and my Mum was on reasonable form. She'd been persuaded to wear her glasses (though not her teeth), and so was able to recognise OH as someone she knew and was pleased to see. She doesn't see him as often as she sees me, so we were quite surprised that she still had some memory of him. It's a long way to drive for a 40 minute visit; she gets tired easily and the conversation is almost completely one-sided now - I know I'm visiting her mainly for my sake rather than hers, too, but you only get one mother...
The mist is lifting so... I may get out into the garden later!!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I must admit, Fairy and Lesley that I was pleased to see the two babies together. For the last couple of weeks, I've only seen one at a time, and I couldn't decide if there was only one that kept appearing or if there were still two. Hubby didnt help by suggesting they were just the right size for a kookaburra snack. So you can imagine that I was very relieved today to see them together.
Another hug from me too for Chicky. I was hoping the docs had sorted Mr. C out last time. And also Happy Birthday for Chicklet, I hope you have a lovely day together.
I'm back home having babysat for little grandsons since yesterday afternoon. The child minder has taken over until this evening.
Must go to the supermarket and clean the kitchen and dining room as friends are coming for lunch on Sunday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Meant to add that my dog isn't well, had to go to the vet yesterday. He is 13 and has cancer. Vet says it's amazing he's still here. He's coughing, now on anitbiotics and cortisone. Vet says he hopes cancer hasn't spread to the lungs or it could be because his heart is weak.

I've just spoken to Wonky - Flatters the Shed Cat isn't well - she thought he'd been refusing to come out of the Cat Cave in the shed since Monday because the weather was so grim, but she got home in daylight yesterday and insisted that he came out of the shed into the garden, but he growled at her and limped on his right side when he walked. She phoned the vet and he has an appointment for 6.15 tonight. She said he's still eating and his eyes are bright, but he's really scowly and cross. She's wondering whether he's been hit by a car ........

Sorry to hear Mr Chicky has been poorly again - very worrying time for you all - best wishes for a full recovery.
Also sorry to hear about BL's dog and Flatters - it is awful when pets are poorly but they can't explain what's wrong / where it hurts etc and you can't explain that unpleasant treatments and procedures are to help them. Hope both Wonky and BL have good vets.
We're taking the caravan for the first run of the year soon. OH has informed me that today he will be "torqueing up his nuts".... I hope he's referring to the 'van wheels
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

I do love a sheep Pat - couldn't eat a whole one....
I always have a chat with them when I'm walking - hope that keeps me safe from their marauding tendencies....

Have to head out soon. Really can't be bothered, but might do some seed sowing later
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
