Topbird, surgery is 2 weeks on Monday. Can't wait. I'm actually looking forward to going back to work. Most odd.

I went to our local Wyvale in the week . Guy working among the compost section kindly asked if I needed any help.

" oh yes thanks, I'm looking for aquatic compost"

" We don't sell it any more"

    " Oh thanks anyway, bye"

    Devon.

I did h****work, washed pots and brought some compost into the kitchen, went to the GC for lawn feed and bought milk. Where has the day gone?  image

I wasn't paying much attention to Big Ds Dove so can't help. I expect Verd will have seen it though image

The rain has actually gone off. Hurrah!

Ha ha - of course I meant that our original plan was to move TO Norwich. Though after our last lot of dealings with solicitors / estate agents etc it might be simpler to just move the city nearer to usimage

Any chance of a walk this weekend Fairy? I'm sure you've been watching out for a weather window image

Forecast's not great T'bird - been spoilt recently with some lovely alpine days. Waterproofs and extra layers will be needed tomorrow. There will be an extra layer of snow on the tops too. Thinking of heading up to one I've done a few times at the Rest and be Thankful just beyond Arrochar. It's a great little walk.

Back from daughter 2, near Libourne. We had a lovely day and I have eaten too much. 7 of my grandchildren were there with 3 of my children and their spouses. Son and 2 small boys will be there tomorrow, but he lives quite near me so I can see him another time. It was for daughter 1's birthday lunch.

We had saved up for 3 nights in Venice for daughter and her lovely OH as it is also their 10th wedding anniversary this year. Daughter 2 and I will look after her 3 little boys that weekend, October.

It was a lovely day today, 18° outside while we were driving home at 6.30pm.

My 2nd daughter is also called "Possum", Obelixx.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Sounds like a lovely day BL.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow Fairy - lovely part of the world.

Enjoying a (rather strong - hand slipped whilst pouring - oops!) G&T in front of the log burner which is roaring away because of the wind direction & strength - getting quite warm in here now - suspect we might be snoozing in an hour or so.....
