I wondered who had stolen my pants. [nicked my knickers ]
Lovely day here, feel I am starting to make some progress, although I have to admit, that most of the time has been spent, digging up stuff I thought was in the wrong place last year, and then wondering where to put it.
More speed, less haste, perhaps?
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Spent a lovely couple of hours in the garden (popping in for the occasional mug of coffee), cutting back, pruning, tieing in etc and making plans for a 'sort of'
pergola in the south-west facing corner where the poorly ash tree used to be.
Now we've had lunch and the sun has moved to the other side of the house, so I've tidied away and come indoors - there's roast lamb and potato and leek boulangere to prepare for supper
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I've just sneaked in for a coffee too. Pruned shrubs that had gone a bit wild next to our abri. They offer (ed) some privacy between us and the empty old farmhouse next door and am afraid I got carried away. There was one of those bamboo/wicker screens attached to the fence but it fell to bits as I pruned. Will have to get another one tomorrow. I would rather have some clematis growing over the fence but OH doesn't want to wait and I can't guarantee it will grow well there so I lost my argument (as always).
Have to crack on and load up the trailer now. So good to be out there isn't it. Catch you all later.

I've just come in too for a drink, I've dug the garden, cut back my geraniums, raked the moss out of my lawn, put my two week old sweet pease in my green house, cleaned the windows and cleaned the doors phew! I think that's enough for one day
Loved your timely response Pat. Have just come in from the garden and ate a lovely BLT. Finally got to sleep about 4 this morning when painkillers sorted out aches and pains.
Been back in the garden this morning and finished the mulching, also pruned some more shrubs, fed clematis and roses, scarified lawns and tidied shed. It's not looking good for tonight is it Never mind the garden looks lovely now, well it will when the lawn has recovered a bit.

My dog is still doing her strange thing after eating - she goes through these stages every now and then. I put it down to her old age.
Not posh - just takes up less room in the suitcase when we go and crash at Hosta's pad
