Enjoyed the programme, reading thru some earlier comments 20/2, I dont consider £10.000 to be a realistic budget, that would be a car or conservatory in my book!  As for folk doing all the work themselves, it seemed to me last night, the owner of the garden was happy to watch her sister do the heavy stuff!  At least the back yard, whih was brilliant WAS a small garden.   We used to have quarter of an acre backing onto fields, had inspector from RSPCA to home check for homing a dog, she put MEDIUM size garden, I asked her how she would catagarise new houses with 40 feet of garden.

You are so right Verdun [ not often I say that! ], it is about JOY.

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

I am full of the joys of Spring Verdun, but if I won £10.000, I could be more joyfull.  Am I going to get a lot of flack now, its not all about money, course I am joking, am happy with my lot, Most of my garden is sort of "normal" sensible", but I have a giant metal spider web, complete with spiders, various, classic and nutty statues, no gnomes though, they broke years ago.  Mind I think £500 is a huge amount of money, too!
