Not much to do at the mo Got a plant delivery due but probs not til I'm back at work n/w.
The plants I moved the other day all seem fine despite the subsequent frosts. Got some more to move so I can plant out some wallflowers but probably won't attempt for a few weeks.
My second wave of seeds have started germinating, mostly scabs, so organised March's seeds. Nothing really exciting there but thought I may as well grow them as not.
Fed and watered the birds a few times. Saw the thrush again yesterday for the first time in ages, thought it had gone awol. Although it might not be the same one...
Was a sunny day today, though a bit cold. Spent nearly 3 hours weeding and tidying the veg garden bit behind the GH. Hadn't looked at it for ages, was in a state. Two piled high barrow loads of rubbish removed and a small bucket of large potatoes from a forgotten row, hope they are OK.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Transplanted some ivory wallflowers and pink forget me nots into pots as underplanting for tulips and daffs. Glysophated jap anemones and did some weeding. Might go back out there after a cuppa.
Finished off spraying my fence with "wet and forget" after pic was taken about 5 hours later and will slowly continue to get better with time, will be nice to have a grey fence instead of a bright green algae one. Potted up some hellebore seedlings and lupin seedlings yesterday, hopefully they will do well.

Back from garden centre with a variety of perennials and small shrubs at bargain prices, this time of year. Oh, 3 Clematis too, all half price or less
Finished pruning the penultimate Holstein apple and made a start on the last. Harvested some leeks, cabbage and the last of the parsnips.
Roast chicken tonight
Which clems did you purchase W'song?
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

A blue Alpina to replace the one I lost this year and two Niobe.
Two Niobe? Yes two Niobe, I need reddish stuff and I'm impatient
