Some more excellent shots, Doc...love the Lion cubs
Here is a Common Seal pup, it was driven up onto the beach by its mother to protect it from a rather large Bull Grey Seal that was patrolling just off shore.
Lovely Photos PD it reminded me of a safari holiday we had in Kenya quite a few years ago now. Baby elephants were my favourite, all rubbery and lollopy (is that a word)
What beautiful, amazing photos! Thank you punkdoc. Glad you had a good time.
I was wondering where they were, then someone on Forkers said to look here. Was relying on email notifications while we were away in Norfolk, hadn't looked at latest posts.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
it has all been said before but I feel I have almost been there too. I have sat for a while with them and enjoyed every one of them. You seem to have seen more than many people I know who have been on a safari. I envy you what must have been an incredible experience.
I have a friend who is not in a good place just now. as she is passionate about wildlife I am going to share them with her. we will enjoy a good conversation about them

We were indeed very lucky. It was our second safari, the first being to S. Africa. Both were wonderful, but Botswana is a truly remarkable place, would go again and again, if I could.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Oh what a cutie Sheps, a great picture, A case of being in the right place at the right time for sure. Hope the little chap is safe now. We have just had a larger seal released back into the sea after being nursed at our local animal shelter for a few months - there is a small colony of seals off the islands around here and it was harmed in the winter stormy seas, being washed up on one of the bays.

Sounds just perfect

Sheps...
Very appealing Sheps
Good to see some healthy (for a seal pup) rolls of fat on it.

The way I am feeling at the moment I would go to Botswana on a one way ticket in a flash!
