MrJ - meant to respond to your post too - glad you've found a way through and have some peace and happiness. It's something we should all be able to have yet it can be elusive. Your confidence will keep growing along with your relationship. I wish you all the love in the world.
The smashing people on this forum have helped me so much more than they'll ever know.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yes I agree with you Fairygirl - having not heard the full programme I didn't know that Knob had threatened Henry, so no doubt Helen was desperate. I know what you mean regarding feeling guilty - when you marry a man - the big wedding, all the relatives there - the expense etc it is the most difficult thing to admit that you have made a huge mistake in your choice of husband especially when HE is all sweetness and light to your family and closest of friends - you begin to question yourself just like as knob kept making out that Helen was disarranged and depressed.

As long as you both support each other you'll get there MrJ. Those 'Chinese whispers' are always a problem. Glad you got that sorted.
And you have that lovely bank vole to keep you enthralled
