In between the crocosmia is a three foot diameter pond half is eighteen inches deep for amphibians the other half is six inches deep with large stones creating pools for the birds to bathe it is built into the corner of two hedges which along with the crocosmia affords the birds a bit of cover and shade to bathe in. particularly enjoyed by the three pairs of blackbirds that nested in the hedges this year.
Hydrangea coloured up nicely now.
A bit of colour on the patio
A hardy fuchsia now that it has started to flower we will have flowers through to the first frosts.
A lovely butterfly sunning itself on the gravel
A Miniature rose only grows to fifteen inches now in garden but came out of a planted up assorted container given to O/H
last year. it has flowered well all summer.
Cut down to fifteen inches every february and comes back like this each time.
Hi Joyce My father had a pair of horse shoes that came off a clydesdale mare called daisy that he drove in the 1940/50's. They were almost identical in shape to the butterfly marking.

Thanks, Verdun & GWRS!
Not a "bird table" but a ceramics totem made by my wife. Birds occasionally perch (and sh**) on it!

Lovely pictures Flyer
Red butterfly marking is like a horse shoe straight from the blacksmith's fire
I've never seen such a healthy looking miniature rose. Lovely.
Crocosmia looks like Lucifer.
