Bearing that in mind then BL, what is the yellow rose? I was going to say picture 5 but you might not see in same order as me. Is it Golden Showers? My apologies if it's something more exotic but I'm interested because I have a young GS on a north fence and it is just budding so interested to know from the point of view of yours being well-established and in full sun.
Chicky loving the standard wisteria. What is it growing up? Reason I ask is I have plans for a railing at the front of the house between us and next doors (my boundary). Thinking I'd like to grow something over it but it has to withstand and allow a car to go by as it's by a garage. Might ask neighbour if they mind the roots being on their side of it.
If only, PP! The problem is with only one plant the only way to propagate it vegatively (very, very tricky) as it won't come true from seed. I'm just happy I have a different blue one other than the caerula!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Thanks B3. Lovely, Bob. Chicky, gorgeous wisteria.
The yellow rose is Suttar's Gold. It is flushed pinky red when in bud, the under petals can be a bit pink, but it doesn't show in the photo. It must be about 16 years old.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

One of the tree peonies opened:
I've been trying to cross the blue aquilegia caerula with mckana giants (which don't seem to have any blue):
