The Agastache looks too salmony for me Verd - another colour I don't like....
I'll be having purples, purply/reds, orange and deep yellowy golds mainly. Orange is one of those colours that divides people. I didn't used to like it either, but I think it's how you associate it. Fantastic with dark foliage like Acteas and Cannas isn't it? My Ligularia is a mix of plum and orangey gold which is why I like it so much.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I won't have a huge amount of room there - but verticals are certainly something I'll need more of. I 'd certainly consider the more orange Agastaches. I'd get another Canna, as I love the foliage, but I have to avoid too many things that requires a lot of faffing - overwintering, nurturing too much etc. I'd quite like a couple of Dahlias but that's the issue with them too. Salvias can be iffy here with the climate so I never have them either, although I had them in a previous garden. They weren't great.
I simply don't have the time now. Even once I've finished the rest of the construction of beds, I won't have time. Most of my plants have to take care of themselves to a great extent.

I like orange, but then I like peach too, love pinks and blues. In fact, I like all colours, so long as they grow and can put up with a bit of heat and drought in summer and cold, rain and snow in winter. 'Cos that's what they'll get in Dordogne. And poor, clay, limestone soil (but I have improved it).
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Your pictures have given me cheer after a tough day in work. Love the look of the post rain plants Yviestvie.
Fairygirl you aren't the only one who has colour dislikes - with your thumbs down to peach and salmon. I don't really care for bright pink - although I have several mature Rhodedendrons and Fushias in pink and wouldn't want to hurt their feelings by telling them or they might put a slug-attack curse on my garden (hang on... think they already have!)

clattnow, to answer your question - Fairygirl is a good photographer. Here is a link to the camera thread http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/the-potting-shed/camera-talk/914004-33.html#latest
