Hi everyone. We've had the broadband technician here today making magic and I think we are now on broadband, we've got a new thing on the roof and another couple of plugs on the wall on Hubbys study, but it'll be worth it if we get better reception, etc.
Fairy, I agree with your sentiments about styles of gardens, but it bothers me sometimes that because I was sick last spring and summer, I let it all go to pot except for my veggie garden which I'm paranoid about. I love my fresh veggies and Herbs. Besides, we are so dry here, that it's a massive undertaking to keep all the trees and shrubs going in summer, so we leave them to their own devices, mostly.
Road trip for a few weeks so came home to garden monstrously overgrown, will definitely do something tomorrow. Weather here is variable, today and yesterday 65F, next weds. predicted to be 100F.
Nature is amazing, purple poppies from tiny seeds to this is a couple of months.
It is indeed amazing David. No matter what else goes on around is, nature just carries on doing it's thing. I watched a programme the other night about butterflies, and marvelled again at how they go from caterpillars to 'sludge' to those stunning creatures. We sort of take it for granted, yet it's such an incredible process.
Don't know how you deal with those fluctuations in temperatures!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Really enjoying seeing pictures of plants & gardens of other users, thought i'd share a few pictures myself, not so much of plants more things we use our garden for....
Breakfast before gardening....
Drying washing in the rain...
Relaxing.... the dog, the missus, the daughter (torn ligaments)
Four easy steps on how to catch a fish without letting go of your ice-pole
Nice to see the garden being well used during that untypical spell of weather we've had up here! Apart from the 'wash day' pic ....
That montana looks tremendous.
Are you sure your coffee mug's big enough though? ...
RB - lovely to have a chrysalis to watch. I'm very jealous .Hope you get see it 'hatch'.
Garden isn't too bad at all thanks. Lots to sort round the 'stension now to finish the back garden and organise the area down the side. I've done quite a bit already, but work and hillwalks get in the way of gardening time

Must try that with lupins Patsy. Thanks for the tip
Lupins are now on my list, I think keep them in pots then I can move them where I need them.
I have been gardening all day just trying to catch up with everything.
Joybell I agree with Patsy F
