..Stipa gigantea seems to have grown taller than ever this year... it's a star the moment its shoots appear, and for the next 6 months...very hard to beat...

..although I love that pink Cornus there^...

This is a flower garden I started last year for my two girls. I love the cottage style look. Can't believe how well it has done in a year!

     Oryla looking fantastic here.

Why is it that you plant these somewhere else and the slugs devour them?!

Penstemon sour grapes with sambuscus and a massive hebe. It will look even better soon.

Can't really tell in this photo but the scabious look brilliant swaying in the wind with osteospurmum underneath.

Love your salvia fidgetbones,I think it would look good in my first photo or next to the scabious.

Thank you. I am obsessed. I have had to get rid of a lot of plastic pots as I have accumulated so many over 4 years. Before that I thought all plants came in bulb form,I didn't have a clue but after buying a run down house with a garden in need of tlc you learn quickly.

This was my decking a couple of months ago.

This is it now in its infancy. I have agapanthus, dahlias, sweet peas, osteospurmum and some annuals if they survive the slugs! Will try and post again in a few weeks.

Hogweed, that Cornus with the pink bracts....... what variety is it?. Mine gets a pink tinge at the edges, but nothing like that.

All the hard work is paying off, Cotty.

Cotty that is so prettyimage I wouldn't mind living in that little house...

My star is this bridge of sighs rose which I planted last autumn. It's not exactly the colour I thought (gingery brown) but is the first of my roses to flower despite being the newest. Also it smells lovely.

    Fidgetbones,

The cornus could be Miss Satomi. It grows really well but will need a light pruning after flowering this year.
