Thanks Mike, the fuchsias in the garden have reached ridiculous heights this year, some are 5ft tall, they have been in for years,  cut to the ground in Spring, but the tender ones in pots have succombed to rust, they are ok now, grown another lot of leaves and cuttings taken, its just been too dry for too long.

There are several hedging types here as well.

Oh chicky, I live in Southeast Brazil, slightly below the Capricorn Tropic, so my town

has a subtropical climate. But as my garden is tucked between buildings, it is often

    cooler than the surroundings.

Wow !! No wonder its warmer than hereimage.  Jealous of your heliotrope - have seen it growing at Wisley (southeast england) but never given it a go myself - its meant to have a lovely scent.

That is a beautiful garden dimwit, my favourite flowers are the humble viola.

I have grown heliotrope from seeds here, the scent is lovely.

    Chickys acer is lovely  too.

I saw this thread yesterday, and thought 'no stars in our garden, just has-beans' but in fact, there is something lovely on the front door step.  Our foster daughter and I bought this pot for my husband's birthday, and found these pansies to go in it, and it is set to keep us cheery in the winter months every time we return home.
