chicky. I was given this as a gift last year and put it in a stone pot and left it to its own devices. bless it it's giving so much pleasure. I do have a blue one that has turned pink and a white one that was blue??image My Grannie used to put a penny in the pot to keep the colour. Has anyone else heard about that? Does it work?

  • Do you know sometimes how you overlook things in the garden?

Well I'd noticed my sweet peas were starting to push the fence over when I was crossly trying to open my hen house door but only today noticed how nice they look from the other side.

Obviously I still docked points off them for the fence irritation.image

How lucky you are, mine are long gone! Yours are lovely image

  • Thanks Beaus Mumimage

My others have gone or I've abandoned either because I needed the space, I can't reach them to dead head at the back of a border or the ones on my front railings people keep letting their dogs wee onimage

These were a free pack of T & M spencer mix from a magazine, the ones I paid for weren't as niceimage

Lovely Victoria - mine are still going too - seems to have been an incredibly long season for them this yearimage,

this weekends stars are the anenomes.  Wild swan has decided to turn her back on the path - which is lucky as her backside is her best bit anyway.  And then lots of Hon Jou, and some pink ones i can't remember the names of .... Queen Charlotte has buds, but yet to put in an appearance

My Anemone 'Whirlwind's are putting in an appearance too - shorter than Hon Jobert and a semi double. They have lavender on the back of the petals too.
