Fabulous plants yet again - thanks everyone for great ideas. Love the blue/purple and orange together. OL your geum in the trough looks as though it has bigger flowers than mine. How is your feather bed coming along?
I had a senior moment when coming to this thread. I started at the beginning and got through five pages before I noticed the date Wonderful pictures then too. I quite fancy trawling all the way through when I have a few hours to spare
Feather bed Lesley? Thanks for your comments I'm on another forum and have just done exactly the same on there....silly Billy me
I trimmed the Geum back after those flowers finished and the flowers now are smaller, I don't know if that's normal? A lot of my colour combinations have happened by accident, I'm not very artistic or good at putting things together so they just sort of happen!!
I think you will always get a smaller flower after cutting back. Happens with the lupins too. Sorry OL I must be thinking of someone else who was creating a new feathery, wavy grass type border and called it the feather bed Getting more senior by the minute

At the moment I'm loving gypsophillia, hodeum jubatum (squirrel tail grass) and FBs huge cosmos.
Is it alright to have several stars?
Campsis
Campanula (of some kind)
White Hollyhock
Rainbow chard
Gypsophila
Several stars is very good
