These are those Pom Pom dahlias, won't grow again as poor bees can't get at the pollen. Bargain at Though though for £1.50

Can anyone tell me what this is, please? I bought it two years ago and I really like it. I have taken sections for other parts of the garden too.

Haisie and Tracy  - great pics - wonderful colours.

Haisie, I love the pink pom poms.  My philosophy is that as long as you have some plants that the bees love, you can treat yourself to couple that are just for you !!

Ah, thanks chicky, but I got frustrated watching the bees try and because I have only the white dahlia as well, the bees seemed hungry. Next year, I will splash out on proper dahlias and not just bargains from B & Q as now I know how much insects love them. But the white one was a star for attracting bees.

Thanks Verdun, which catalogues would you recommend, please? Do you pot them in tarracota and then on to bigger pots? The B&Q pots that they do a tuber in, I now know that they are not big enough, although good quality, thick pots they are.
