Having only just 'discovered' gardening, in May this year I finally started tackling the borders in my garden. I planted a few shrubs and tree's in three years ago when I first moved in, and they have matured beautifully.
My new perennials have really taken off in the last 2 months, unfortunately I seem to have planted a little too close in areas. Ooops, however, I suppose it's a beginners mistake, and at least I can see what needs doing to rectify my error's.
My Buddleia davidii, Crocosmia Lucifer and Lavender Hidcotes seem to be the best performers at the moment.
After looking at the pictures posted on this discussion of some of your amazing gardens, I really am feeling inspired- and a little jealous of you all too!
Morning everyone beautiful photos as usual, all inspiring and thank you fairy girl and artjak for advice about using smaller pots for 'fillers'. Makes sense with my narrow borders - why didn't I think of that
