It's a little sparrow artjak. One of the young ones I think. He/she had a high old time - was there for ages  image

Simple pleasures are the best aren't they? I could watch birds, bees and butterflies for hours. image

The buddleia looks quite blue in the pic chicky. It's  really more of a violet/magenta colour. Very rich - it's a new one to me and I love it.  I know they're common as muck but the bees and butterflies don't know that  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It's a wonder we all get any gardening done between watching nature, taking photos and reading the forums! Great life isn't it! My husband keep telling me to get the spade out and do rather than read - but all in good time eh!

Definitely inspiring seeing all these pics and I have actually ordered some forum recommended ornamental grass seed today and some fragrant viola for my shady patch! Watch this space - will have some super pictures - eventually!

Some coleus I picked up for a quid at a little 'open all hours' corner shop.

J3J- you have to tell him that the forum reading and nature studying is a vital part of the process to ensure the success of the plants you buy imageimage

Do you think he'll fall for that?

That has been my line to date - research very important I say, will save a fortune if I buy on good advice! I am actually working on, well researching three projects at the moment, as well as the all important nature watching, going to grow ornamental grass in container for the poolside terrace, building a rockery from a heap of garden waste, forum advice not too promising though, and now have decided today to plant a little secret informal rose garden at the bottom of the garden in a sunny spot - so I can go down there and 'research' in peace - hope the wifi will reach!
