Is it rude to re-invigorate a thread?  I'm interested in pictures of people's summer houses.  I've just bought one (second-hand) and so fishing for ideas.

Like the idea of growing climbers over it, verandahs, lights, seating, tea-making, views over ponds.  I'm a bit excited, never had one before ... image

So unrude is it that I fished this one out myself a couple of weeks ago for someone looking for colour inspiration. No harm in taking another look or three. image

our was here when we moved here 16yrs ago, it has moved several times around the garden since and was used for toy storage etc, now we have replaced the leaded windows with double glazed ones and new doors & used weatherboard on the outside, my husband uses it as his office & it has electric etc & desk all the way round with his filing cupboards underneath.

I bought two crackin mahogany ones at an auction last year for £25 for just this very purpose! There was another one last week but I forgot to leave a bid. image Try salvage yards too.

  • My OH built me my shed at the back end of last summer by way of compensating me for him selling our old VW camper ?. The old garage used to be where the veranda starts.

I use it all the time, it has a wee heater and I have a pot bellied stove waiting to go in which will make it even cosier in winter. My friends fight over who gets to sleep in it when we have them staying. Iimage really love it. It's my wee place to escape to.imageimageimageimageimageimageimage
