This was already in my garden when we moved in..

I wanted to move it back 6ft so it was up against the rear boundary as the space behind was bing wasted. So I dismantled it and built a new hardstanding, and reassembled it, and reflected the roof with underfoot and mineral felt. I just need to put guttering on it now to collect water. I didn't like its original red cedar colour so I painted it Cuprinol Old English Green ..

Ive laid some lino on the floor and put in a spare settee and armchair. I keep all my old Gardeners World magazines in there and when the wifes not looking I disappear for an hour. Or two !!

    Thanks Dove.

This is an old photo now, but instead of braking up the sheds old hardstanding I used it instead to erect a greenhouse. You can see the shed/summerhouse behind it..

  • Lovely garden LeadFarmer. image I like the new improved summerhouse too.image

We need more winter storage space here for all the garden furniture and pool loungers as well as bikes. In the summer it can double up as a pool bar/changing area. OH has designed a really good 'shed' access from both front and rear. Only problem is he wants it to look like a 'surf shack' and I had more of a 'beach hut' look in mind. image

For the moment I am not arguing with him, it may well be in the design stage for quite some time. When it comes to painting it though there may well be some 'heated discussion'. image

    OH's plan ......

    image

Watch this space and see who wins, but OH does like to 'think' about these things so it won't be any time soon, which is possibly a good thing. image

We have a conservatory which we virtually live in during the summer months.  We have a small woodshed, a garden shed and a playhouse which is used by the grandchildren when they visit.  In a perfect world I would remove the garden shed and have a larger summerhouse which I would use to store toools and use as a 'comfy' potting shed
