Same here Zenjeff. Timing's everything in wet areas. I got mine cut end of October knowing it would probably be the last. The milder than usual conditions mean that it's grown a bit, but there's no chance of cutting before spring now. It doesn't look too bad compared with other gardens round me where the grass is really too long.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Last cut mine in mid-October, after that it has been too wet in Manchester. It has continued to grow, as so far, we have had just one frosty morning this winter.
We cut ours last month, and mowed up a lot of fallen leaves in the process. Took it all to the tip last week as we don't have a compost heap (shame ). It's much too wet now, although the grass is still growing, but only slowly. Very drab and grey here today, but at least it's not raining.
Mowing in winter - against the law?? You're having a laugh! I've checked out several articles on lawn care and not one says anything about it being illegal but thanx for a chuckle. I know I was very lucky to find the grass suddenly dried by the wind, and the lawn is tiny, so I guess that's why I got excited cos I would never have imagined I would be mowing in December, it gave me a lift. I'm new to the Forum and all your replies have given me a lift also.
Hey Hostafan, I was just having a laugh back. There must be places in the UK where it's normal to mow around the year if you're keen enough. My plan for the garden was to have a 'perfect' lawn. At only 12 foot square mowing it is a 5 minute job and it's easy to find a spare 5 minutes. It's rained every day since of course plus it's foggy today as well. Hey ho.

, but it's not stop raining since either and I'm in the NW
my grass looks like Donald Trumps hair right now. Not sure which I run over with the lawn mower first though.

EG, it takes me about 7 hours to cut my grass when it's long, as it is now.
You need a small flock of sheep instead Hosta - especially as you're getting a bit long in the tooth
I'll get me coat...
