trying persicarias this year.....apart from Red Dragon I have kept my distance.

Being aware of invasive species I think I have researched a couple that should behave.  If not they will be temporary residents here image

I'm going to see what survives in my little prairie and fill in the gaps.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

That sedum sounds good Snow. I've avoided GCs and the nursery this year as I have plenty in the garden to deal with, but I love them. I'd like to get one of the whites that I used to grow - Iceberg - but I think there's another white available as well now.

I agree with you about Photinias Verd. No idea why anyone tries to grow them up here -  everything about our climate is wrong for them! Plenty of better choices which will give colourful foliage etc.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Tetley I was tempted by a Photina hedge but was disuaded as they don't seem to age well. I saw my first in British Columbia. Maybe we need to move abroad! image

As the rabbits had a field day in the garden, I am trying four different Agastache, more Salvias and Veronica.

More Japanese Anemone, only thing is they are late flowerers so need to think of early ones.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
