I know little devils, they never bothered them before but this time they just snipped through the flower stem and left it there so i put a wire netting cage round the survivors so that they could set their seed.
They were here when we moved in many years ago i initially thought they were blue bells because of the leaves so poor things got mowed until i realised what they were after leaving one to flower

Flippin' rabbits eh?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I still have loads of bees in the garden. The weather has been lovely these past few days and it's a real pleasure to hear the buzzing.
Lovely orchids
. Despite it getting much cooler we have plenty of bees on the cosmos, dahlias, fuschias, scabious and honeywort.
lots of honey bees on hardy fuschia and some smaller bumbles
white aster seems popular too.Not seen any big bumblebee so far today though.
