Lol Dove, I refreshed for once and you beat me to it. image Mine though is the link to the deluxe expanded version (it doesn't really give much more away) though I found another sheet that might help too:

Jeyes Fluid safety data leaflet (seems expanded and contains more info)

    http://www.theworkshopwarehouse.co.uk/downloads/dl/file/id/918/jey5.pdf

    main ingredients is 4-CHLORO-M-CRESOL

Looking up a safety sheet for that ingredient, it suggests rinsing with water and adding detergents will help disperse it:

I would consider contacting the manufacturer for advice. I think it may well stay in soil for some time reading between the lines on the data sheet. Though at this stage I would empty a bottle of washing up liquid on the grass and put the hose on it. Whether anything will grow there again is anyone's guess really, but you may have to dig out the affected area and replace the soil.

  • Thank you too GemmaJF. Il give that a go now ????

I think the sooner the better really. I would squirt the neat washing up liquid around the area, lightly spray with water to get it to froth up a bit, then let it absorb into the soil overnight. Give it a really good rinse over in the morning.

  • Tea bags soaked in dilute Jeyes Fluid sounds feasable judging by all the replies. On a lighter note I watched a cat dig a hole, do its business in the hole and then fill it in.

  • I am afraid i have spent a small fortune trying to prevent felines using my childrens play areas as a toilet. Seeing a very distressed 3 year old girl covered in faeces tends to spoil a lovely summers day.

i tried fencing in the already 6 foot fence with an additional 50cm of chicken wire.

    i tried silent roar

i tried the garlic and pepper spray

    i tried sonic devices

    (start adding up the cost)

i tried the spike panels across the top of fences.

i tried jayes fluid on tea bags, remembering i do not want to harm my children so located them in raised areas out of reach.

i left the garden, with all these preventative measure for 4 days (last week)  and came back to find 10, yes 10 piles of "poo".

from time to time I dog sit to the dog scent is also in the garden.

so i have bitten the bullet, much to my sons jou.

i have ectended my loving family to one more member, yes, a greyhound. 33lbs at 40mph, should reduce the numbers of cats in MY garden.

i will keep you all posted
