Runnybeak, in a quiz a couple of weeks ago the contestant was asked to name a country with a coastline in the Northern hemisphere, the answer was South Africa????
Obilixx, yes practice makes perfect, my Daughter and Dave dance every week I have watched they are very competent and ahead of most of the other dancers. She is her own worst critic saying her steps posture and musicality are OK but why can she not glide as smoothly as Mum and I did. I tell her she is good though realise that very early training both Joan and I had plus the constant dancing meant we did not have to think about what we did, with a correct posture you sense exactly what your partner will do, this is of course in free dancing, I never really took to all doing the same dancing. Doing the Tango and Rumba with the local ballroom Queen at 16-17 which nearly always meant the floor opened up for us gave me a confidence that meant I could waltz in Vienna on an empty floor and carry it off. I still think early training gives an edge. Pity I cannot still do it.
David, know the problem, my next pooter is an Apple I trained on them at pooter school and regret going for cheaper options. My Apple i-pad is great though will not do everything I want to do so after Christmas--!!!
This is the first year of not being sure who would be tops I have the same four as you though who will make it on the night? I would not put a bet on it.
So it was Helen's night, her Viennese Waltz was beautifully danced......however, I thought Jay & Aliona's was under marked and was worth 4 10s.
I felt rather sorry for Anita, given Len's reaction to her beautiful effort. I do hope Len doesn't follow in the steps of Mr Forsyth and carry on far beyond his sell by date.
Some may have been watching his series on BBC2 with Ainsley Harriott where Ainsley has been trying to educate his taste buds to appreciate foods beyond pie & mash.......a message in there somewhere, me thinks.
We were out dancing last night so set it up to record - except that himself wanted to record some football too and they clashed! Aaaaargh! However, we have 26 mins of the real thing and all the other dances are on You Tube so we'll catch up later this evening and then watch the results.
This afternoon is a Disco Rock class followed by our usual ballroom practice session and I'm busy making the cakes for the break - chocolate carrot cake, Swiss almond and poppy seed loaf and some biscuits of some sort.
Also need to take treasures in pots into the greenhouse and shed this morning but that's by the by.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I enjoyed it last night, was interested to see Katie's Argentine tango - wasn't that great I thought, armchair expert that I am Maybe they are too elegant and upright for that dance. Didn't like the rumba, but then it is my least fav dance. Enjoyed the swingathon, thought Jay did really well, disappointed with his 5th position.
Peter to go this week, in my opinion, but no idea who he should dance against

Where have you been David?
Frank.
PS I did mean Sequence Dancing was the type I was not keen on.
Frank
I'd like Jay to win too Panda. But like RB, I have a feeling Georgia will.
Did anyone see the ad tonight for Strictly tour? Georgias in that and so is Ainsley and Anita.
A few techie issues, Frank,,,,,,,,culminating in a (ordered but not yet received) new pooter.

A good show again , getting down to difficult choices and who screws up
Can't wait for Sunday's show
Scores were a bit puzzling tonight..
Jay definitely deserved 4x 10s tonight. And should have been higher than 5th in the danceathon. Didn't agree with the placing.
Love Anita, but it wasn't her night tonight.
Georgia was good and Helen too.
Can't understand Ginos marking, Katie 9? And also Anita.
Helen and Georgias dresses were lovely, but shame about the others.
