I agree with SG Lily, as usual!

    Think Susan should go.

I think Susan danced very well in her American Smooth - knew all her steps, did the right heel leads, managed the lifts but, being a bit short and dumpy, she will never look as elegant as some others who mess up their steps and she hasn't mastered finishing her arm and hand gestures with elan.

I thought Joe and Daewood danced very well and had clever choreographies to show them off.  Debbie's dance was technically good but lacking in feeling.  Alexandra missed out the whole point of rumba being a smooth hip sway on the 4-1 beat.  The movement come on 2 and 3 with 4-1 being languid and melting.  Gemma's samba was very light for such a tall girl and I enjoyed it but OH thought she lacked bounce.   I still can't get past how thick Molly is and AJ has no redeeming qualities still but she danced a bit better this week with fewer mistakes.

I don't think the camera work helped make the pasothon illuminating but Susan was definitely not in her comfort zone, nor Molly.

I suspect Susan will go but would rather see Molly gone.

Star Gaze Lily, I am sitting here with my Flabber absolutely Gasted (Debbie was great too) wow, I knew we could never fall out you and I.

I loved Joe and Katya it reminded me of the days I was in the dance hall early an empty floor an opening Quickstep you could open your legs and go, great. David and Nadia very good, Debbie and Gio Brilliant, like her or not Mollie did a near perfect dance. Alex as usual near perfection Gemma I enjoyed her dance and then Susan, well she did her best but it is curtains i am sure.

Agreed with most of the marking apart from the marathon or whatever, we could not see anything apart from people dashing around the floor waving things, I think it was capes. Kevin was on his knees at one time with Susan beating him to death with her whatever it was, a total mess. I always guess what paddle Craig will show I got it wrong once last night when he gave one more than I thought he would, I still think he is the more accurate in marking.

I had a laugh today reading about some of Shirley Ballas' faux pas during the season so far.

    Calling Chizzy Lizzy.

Getting the names of two of the other female contestants the wrong way round.

Telling Jonny he needed to point his toes more!

And one which I accept is more a case of unfortunate wording when telling Jonny he had a real spring in his step when he was wearing a blade.

Already rumours flying that she won't be back next year because she isn't going on the tour.

  • Aww, Frank would never want to fall out with you x

KT53,  I did cringe a couple of times when Shirley commented to Jonnie at times image  She kept going on about pointing his toes, not doing this, that and the other with his feet, tucking his bottom in......he'd probably would have fallen over if he had.

Hopefully she'll just do the one year.......i miss Len

As I said 'rumours' about her not staying.  Whether she has the choice to stay or not will be down to the BBC, not her choice.  It could be her choice not to stay.  I agree that what is not wanted is another pantomime character like Craig or Bruno, but I'm not convinced she's the right person for the job.

An in-depth knowledge of a subject, doesn't mean the person is able to impart that knowledge effectively. At school I had a biology teacher with a string of letters after his name, but who couldn't teach to save his life.  The great biology teacher had only been to teacher training college, not Uni, but he could impart his knowledge.
