I'm aware of the rule, I said I don't agree with it.  I haven't suggested that it should be changed part way through the competition either.

I liked the ones I usually like, Danny, Ore, Daisy and Louise. But no one really shone tonight.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Ore and Danny my favourites this week. Although thought Louise was good too. I want her dress as well, very pretty.

Thought Edd Balls was going to drop hus partner image.

Think Edd Ball will probably go this week, but hoping Anastasia goes! She just gets on my pip.

I agree with Busy.   Those 4 are very good and their pros are clever with their choreography.   I can't warm to Claudia, probably cos her professional is being more complicated than he needs to be and I feel he's showing off.

Katya gave Ed Balls a lift too far and lost loads of points.  Up to that point it hadn't been too awful, just bad.   Anton gave Lesley some lovely steps and sequences to do but she just doesn't seem to grasp the posture needed for ballroom dances.   Pity as she is otherwise admirable.   Not fussed about Laura either way.   She won't win.  Anastasia did well with Gorka.  Maybe Brendan will elect to develop pneumonia to avoid dancing with her.   Naughty Obxx.

Was it me I ask? it all seemed a bit lacklustre last night as if they had run out of energy. Louise did some very good foot work when the camera bothered to show the feet, Lesley is running out of steam her age is showing, next week she does the Jive, I wonder. Ed is "err" entertaining, Claudia was running to catch up, the dance suffered. Sitting back and just watching it was all a bit soothing would be the word, nothing set me on fire, what happens tonight I ask, another surprise?

I've found that particularly bothersome this series - the camera keeps cutting away and missing even some of the lifts (one of Daisy's in her rumba last week, for example).

It wasn't spectacular this week but I think it did begin to show more clear water between those who can and can't dance with the front runners starting to show up. Shame Laura wasn't dancing because I'm still not sure which of those she is. Whether the audience makes the same shift remains to be seen. In past series it's usually only been after Blackpool that it settles into a dance competition.

I think Aljaz is particularly good at making his partner look better than they might with a different choreographer. Perhaps he just understands how to use long legs to good effect. As you've all said, not sure AJ is helping Claudia and I wondered about Giovanni last year for much the same reason. Haven't seen so much of him this year.

Have to agree about the camera work.  I want to see the feet more than the top line but the whole would be good so I can choose what to check.  However, been thinking and saying that since the first series but the Beeb doesn't seem to recognise just how many people out there actually do, or have done, ballroom dancing and know a bit about it.

Also agree it was a bit lacklustre compared to last week but Ore's waltz was beautiful and Danny did a very manly rumba with plenty of movement and leading but then those two do have very clever partners and it's great to see Oti with someone who can dance.   Let's hope the Halloween nonsense puts some fire in all their feet and hips.

Question, has anyone else stopped watching ITT because of Zoe Balls motor mouth, she babbles on at high speed so half of it has gone whilst making sense of the other half. I did try muting the sound when she was talking flat out it did not work so now I just do not watch. Someone suggested Zoe as a presenter of the Strictly Show, "what"? are they mad? I would switch off and think others would too. Now if it was the Lovely Karen presenting ITT I would be unable to take my eye's off the screen, come back quickly from NZ Karen X X x
