I love Abutilons, but they don't like the chill in the Fens. Also Alstroemeria, which I would like to try and grow; any tips about this gratefully received. Am also fascinated by Agaves and Aloes, but don't grow them.image

Lovely idea, Bev. I don't think I can add anything but I'd like to say I love Astrantias - though haven't grown for a while as the slugs love them too image I also used to grow Acidanthera which islovely but I know it's called something different now.

  • I always thought that Astrantias were meant to be slug proof Flo?

  • Bergamot...The red flowers can be made into tea which soothes the mind and aids sleep. The flowers can also be dried and used in potpourri as well as a sachet under your pillow. Too much use can cause the skin to become photosensitive though.
