Nutcutlet, so glad you've owned up! I love dandelions too I agree they are beautiful. (Verdun, is this you admitting to a secret admiration as well?) I desperately want to grow doronicums but even at the mention of the word, the slugs and snails come charging up the garden
And since we're now on D, I'll have dunnocks, who are nesting in the garden as well as the blackbirds.
Found it. It had just flown into the window and i picked it up and put it in the hedge. I'm not a good enough photographer for this sort of thing.
I've got plenty of slugs Flobear but they must eat something else here.. but those doronicums are 3 foot tall and towards the back so maybe I wouldn't notice if the leaves were damaged
..yes that delightful photo of the Dunnock, how quaint is that..? ... I don't see enough of those...
Doronicum's I'm not familiar with. I also like Daffodils [Narcissus I suppose - Daffs between friends that are all yellow, like 'February Gold' which for me flowers in March, they're out now and looking really good...
here is one of my favourite Spring flowers [they're not up yet this season], Dicentra spectabilis and I really like this white version. I'm not yet ready to call these 'Lamprocapnos' - a name I just can't get my tongue around... whoever thought that one up...?

Dazed dunnock - aaah. Glad you rescued him, nutcutlet.
Daffodils - my favourite of all the bulbs. Esp. the yellow-all-over single kinds.
