This will be an unpopular choice for 'D', but I do admire the cunning of the Dandelion. On the lawn, knowing that it is going to get beheaded if it grows too high, it starts to form buds when it is only 2 cm high. In a busy flower bed it again grows to the height of the surrounding plants before flowering; how clever is that?
Favourite 'C's' caryopteris, coreopsis,(bloom for ages) and couldn't live without my clematis' or ceanothus. Then onto 'D's' all forms of dianthus family.

Is every one getting a bit fast on this forum thought we were moving on to letter B next Sunday?
