Are we done with H? If so, I would like to kick off I with iris. I love the early flowers of the reticulata types, the Japanese types (I think) that I have in my pond, and bearded as long as they are not too frilly. But my undoubted favourite is Iris sibirica. It's def. in my top 10 of all time
Pic. courtesy of Mr Google but I shall take some when mine flower.
Irises-absolutely!! Of all types FloBear. I love the little ones as long as they aren't too pale and sickly coloured!
I have 'Night Owl' which is so dark and luscious and velvety it would make you weep
Had a load of lovely white sibiricas and the aforementioned Night Owls at last house and had to rescue them as the b****y rabbits just devoured them Managed to get a few but the sibiricas didn't recover. Irises are meant to be bunny proof....oh no they're not!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Heuchera, excuse me while I clear my throat
Honeysuckle, an essential I think. I have several and their scent fills the air when they are out.
Agreed!
Hydrangea Petiolarus (climber)
The only one I like (hydrangea that is!)

Ohhhh and Hyacinth for colour and their wonderful fragrance
Snap for hydrangea, Fairygirl. Petiolaris is the only one that likes it here anyway.

Impatiens for my name and Iberis for the one my daughter gave me years ago which has seeded itself in the stones in the terrace and looks so pretty.
