6. Bearded Seal. About 4 times the size of our native seals.

The only thing I can't imagine is the lack of civilisation in the air, both sound and wavelengths, if you know what I mean

How about the night sky - was it starry away from all the light pollution? Or was it light pretty much all the time at this time of year?
Pdoc, your bearded seal looks so melancholy! (Mind you, lying on that cold ice, I def. would also feel melancholy!) Lovely photos.
24 hour daylight. Very weird, could not tell what time of day it was. Also made sleeping a bit tricky.
