Thank you hogweed and topbird for the lovely comments x I am most definitely living the roof terrace and it has grown so much since the show! The plAnts are loving the area and I haven't killed any of them!!

As others have said - not what most people have as a garden space, but ideal for you AJ - and that's what it's about. Hopefully you can add more herbs as you like using them  - they're pretty self sufficient  image Next to your doors makes it even easier for access image

Perhaps the detractors who feel they could do a better job 'in one day with minimal resources' should offer their services for the next series. image

That or artificial turf! Have never seen it used in so many gardens.

I thought for a horrible moment that he was going to use it on AJ's terrace which would have looked really silly. The colourful wet room vinyl, however, was novel, fun & in keeping with the over all design.

Glad you're enjoying your space AJ & hope all continues to go well for you in your chosen career.

I have seen some of these as I record them but tend to watch just the beginning and the end result after getting very frustrated by the middle part.

Let's not forget that these garden makeovers are aimed at people who haven't a clue and can't even manage basic watering or grass cutting so astro turf is definitely a good idea for them.  If they find they get the bug looking after their new plants they can always put down proper grass later on and add more plants for interest.

I don't like the format of the show but anything that gets more people gardening has to be good and maybe this will.

  • Thanks AJ2, the wife is on my case to source similar pots and I'm not having much luck!
