Hi Gardengirl, I'm not getting notifications either, thought it would eventually correct itself after the weekend. I'm just checking followed threads to see if anything new

I'm not getting notifications either - I can't believe how neglected I feel. Hubby says I'm becoming one of those ...............!

It feels like I can't get started on any regular jobs, because I'm waiting with baited breath for another enlightending, humorous contact.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I thought the prog was ok. Nothing new - wasn't expecting that anyway. Hogweed's right - basic design principles etc. I doubt the grass will ever be any better but it gives the owners something nicer to look at and easy for them to maintain, so they'll use it and enjoy it which are the most important points.

. Presenter was so so but  the gardener bloke was nice enough and not all 'look at me' I'm a big star now.

I give it 7 out of 10 image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I obviously haven't had access to the show you're talking about, but we used to have a garden renovation show here in Oz, years ago, and the first thing they ALWAYS took out was the clothes line. I'm amazed they couldn't hear me yelling at them from my lounge room.

Watched the first prog on Catch Up last night.

It wasn't really my sort of programme - am definitely getting Grumpy Old Woman syndrome and hate it when they try to 'make' a garden in a ridiculously short time frame. Ended up FF after 5 mins to see what they achieved. I liked what he did with the trellis and patio but missed if he did anything to sort out the drainage - or did he just go for bog plants?

All in all, a programme for those wanting quick cheap fixes in the garden. Might give one more episode a try but I don't think it's a 'stayer'.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Sooo repetitive - but most TV seems to be. How many times did they express surprise at the number of bog plants?!! But just glad to have another gardening programming option.

I presume this is BBCs answer to Love your Garden and they only have a day to do it in and less money? Slightly less cringing though!
