I have watched 3 episodes now, the first two, and the Dr Who episode. 10 hours is not long enough and budget seems minute (ok LYG budget is the opposite extreme, but it does complete the brief!). Instant Gardener is the poorest prog I have seen in this genre. What happened to the expensive rhododendron that was yanked out of the bog garden? I have not seen a solution to any of the briefs set or problems intially outlayed. After seeing the Dr Who episode that was enough, the garden was more dangerous and higher maintenance after for a poor lady that could hardly walk. I don't want to see anothe piece of shale or metal border edging either!! Some people find LYG cringey but they do improve people's lives and it makes me cry lol.
Caught up on episode 1, also saw todays episode of instant gardener.. Liked the log store too, but if it had been my garden I would have preferred if it was built the other side of the shed. Thought it was a bit of an eyesore when sitting on the patio.
I agree that LYG is a better programme, but spends far too much money on some things.
I think the logstore was in the right place - if you had to go out in the dark in your slippers to get some logs in as many times as I've had to in the past you'd appreciate it being exactly where it was - and I didn't think it an eyesore - I thought it was attractive - a clematis alpina growing over it would make it even better
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
the instant garden,i cant believe, that they are happy with this rubbish, sorry but how did they get the job,iam just a novice, and i can do so much better, sorry how did this get tv time, beggers belief.

I didn't mean I didn't like it Dove, I just meant I wouldn't like it in full view when sitting on the patio. Otherwise I thought it was a great idea.
Wouldn't have thought about going out in the dark, I'd send my OH out
and we've got outside lights.
You could always sit with your back to it SGLily
