@ Harveybear The planters are from Provender Nursery in Swanley Kent. Thats where Danny got most of the plants and slate, wood etc from. I get most of my things from them too. Harveybear 31/07/2015 at 15:19
Hi all, where were those lovely big colourful pots from on AJs terrace?
They have a few sizes of the planters but they are mostly the large size.
B&Q, Homebase and other nurseries have planters too, but not those exact ones. If you google onn the internet you may find similar ones and more colours.
One of my gardening customers has an owl in his garden similar to the one made in episode 7 or 8 (the garden clearance). So I assume the tree surgeon was the same bloke.
I came across this thread a little late, but I thought I'd voice my opinions, as one of the gardens featured was my friends, which I helped out with on the day (Episode 5 - for those of you who don't remember, it was the massive jungle!).
People have been a bit negative on here, but you should have seen the amount of work that everyone was putting in on the day. The crew worked tirelessly throughout the day, combatting bad weather too, and going against all odds.
What isn't realised too, is that the crew came on multiple occasions prior to gain an idea of what they wanted to do. We had a few earlier visits from producers, as well as some camera shots being taken before the day. Also, Danny (The Instant Gardener) came with a couple of others about two weeks before, to plan out the garden - all be it, he didn't reveal any details, so it was still a surprise.
I'm glad some of you enjoyed it, as it was great fun to be a part of! They are making a second series and are recruiting gardens to take part. Unfortunately haven't heard anything about a revisit lol. But hey, the episodes get repeated a fair bit!

@GardenGirl: Saw your following comment on our episode!
"Garden No - 5 what a jungle think that one made a big difference when cleared, like what they did with the steps and great garden they went and visited with that curved stripy grass, nice that the lady wanted to look at more climbing plants "
It did make a massive difference! It's now also had some extra additions put in, such as a bird feeder, which really brings out the garden! It looks beautiful now that everything has been reshaped and is growing into its new shape for the spring. The steps are great too - they can get a bit waterlogged if heavy rainfall, but much, much better than before and highly appreciated!

To be honest I liked the last two episodes best.
